Two Cameroonian footballers died in less than 72 hours

Patrick Ekeng ,Dinamo Bucharest and Cameroon international footballer died after collapsing on the pitch during a league match in the Romanian capital.

The 26-year-old midfielder had come on as a substitute only a few minutes earlier during Friday’s match against Viitorul Constanta, which was live on TV at the time.

He was rushed to hospital where doctors were unable to revive him .

A heart attack is suspected but has not been confirmed.

Ekeng, who had a wife and daughter, also played for Cordoba CF, Swiss club Lausanne, and French club Le Mans.

Christelle Jeannine Djomnang , a female goalkeeper, 26-year-old has died, less than 48 hours after Patrick Ekeng 's death.

Christelle Jeannine, who played for Femina Stars Ebolowa, collapsed while warming up before a game and was rushed to the hospital. But she died before getting to the hospital.

Fecafoot suggested that she might have died of heart attack as she complained of chest pain as she prepared for the game against MINPROFF Yaounde in the Cameroon elite league, a BBC report says.
